Christmas Gift Idea for LDS Primary Children

Felt Mitten Ornaments (Image from quiltersbuzz.com)

For Christmas, I was thinking about the talk Elder Uchtdorf gave in Conference (April 2010).

HERE is the link.

You could easily share the first part of his talk with the children about how a statue of The Savior had it's hands broken off, but the people put a sign underneath saying that we are His hands!

What does this mean that we are His hands?

Make some simple felt mitten ornaments for the children. Not a sewer?? Hot glue works wonders!!

Encourage Primary Friends to remember the importance of service always!! Here is also a handout for them with ideas of things they can do for others this holiday season! When they have completed a service, they can color in the mitten!!
