Please Pray for me My Brothers and Sisters

Hello my dearest dearest brothers and sisters. I know this is selfish but I utterly and desperately need your prayers for me and my family. My 2 month old child, my firstborn son, died yesterday. He is with Christ. I know this. But I need you to tell me you love me. That we can be one with Christ. Please mourn with me.

I am so sorry for your loss. I'm sure the hurt is probably unimaginable at times. Try to remember what the Lord told Joseph & Emma after having so many young babies pass. Their sweet spirits were too perfect for this life. They simply needed to just gain a physical body. You will be together again in the next life. But, until then you are in my thoughts and prayers!

How thankful we can all be for the Atonement of our Savior. I hope you will go to HIm at this difficult time. I may not know how you are feeling, but HE does. What a great blessing that we can all be thankful for. I pray that you and your sweet husband can find comfort and peace during this time.

Oh my gosh Sofia... This makes my heart ache and tears fall in your behalf. I'm so sorry. I'm so grateful for the knowledge that we have of eternal families- truly a comfort at this time! Eventhough it still couldn't take away ALL of the pain of loss that you may feel right now and from time to time in the future. Wow... my thoughts and prayers are with you!! God bless you and your husband.

My thoughts and prayers are with you... I love this song by Michael W. Smith-

Where's the Navigator of your destiny?
Where is the Dealer of this hand?
Who can explain life and its brevity?
'Cause there is nothing here that I can understand

You and I have barely met
And I just don't want to let go of you yet

Noah, hello, good-bye
I'll see you on the other side
Noah, sweet child of mine
I'll see you on the other side

And so I hold your tiny hand in mine
For the hardest thing I've ever had to face
Heaven calls for you before it calls for me
When you get there save me a place

A place where I can share your smile
And I can hold you for more than just awhile

Noah, hello, good-bye
I'll see you on the other side
Noah, sweet child of mine
I'll see you on the other side

I'll see you on the other side

I would like to invite all the readers of your blog to fast for you, your husband, and your families this Sunday. I know Heavenly Father lives and loves all his children. He is looking out for you now, as always.

I wish with all my might that you didn't have to go through this tragedy. The grief is so sharp. Time will take away the sting, though it is of no comfort right now. It's hard to let go of the sadness because you want to will your baby back into your arms & every memory is so sensory that the loss is relived with each one. Take your time to feel all the sorrow - you don't have to rush to find your happiness again. In the coming months you might feel pressure to be happy, because your friends and family love you and want that for you, but they also know that that feels impossible right now. They will love you and support you for as long as you need them, and so will we all.

The last thing you need is advice, but I will say... stay close with Heavenly Father. He will carry you through all your trials and bring you to a happy place in the end. (((Big Hugs)))

Sofia, my heart goes out to you. I had a much hoped for-beloved baby who was stillborn 9 years ago and I still miss her every day. Though the experience was with out a doubt the hardest thing I have ever gone through, the tender mercies the Lord visited upon me as I have grieved her loss have given me a whole new understanding of the Holy Ghost in his role as my comforter. Heavenly Father will walk beside you through this, and He will bring peace to your heart as you place your burden of grief and sorrow in His hands. He loves you, he loves your baby. He will keep him safe until you are all together again in heaven, when all your sorrow over your earthly separation will be turned to joy. I testify this is true, the promise of the resurrection is true, and you ARE very loved by your sisters around the world. I will keep you in my prayers.

Your beautiful son is in the presence of out Father in Heaven. How blessed you are to be the one who gave him the earthly body he needed to get there. Praise be to our Father in Heaven who thru the blessings of the Temple give us the opportunity to be with our families forever. Our trials will be but a small moment & if we endure them well, the Lord will exalt us on High & we will triumph over all our foes (D&C 121:7-8)Be strong. Thru your faithfulness, you will see him again & have the opportunity to raise him in the Eternities!! How great then will be your joy!!!

"The saints should always remember that God sees not as man sees; that he does not willingly afflict his children and that if he requires them to endure present privation and trial, it is that they may escape greater tribulations which would otherwise inevitably overtake them. If He deprives them of any present blessing, it is that he may bestow upon them greater and more glorious ones by-and-by. -Elder George Q. Cannon

Hang in there. You will have good days with the bad. Allow yourself time to mourn, to cry. It is completely normal and healthy. But with the mourning comes the light of each new day bringing hope that you are one day closer to being with him again. Our family recently gave talks in church on the importance of the temple. I came across and article by Richard G. Scott entitled "Temple Worship: A Source of Strength and Power in Times of Need". He recounts the story of losing two young children within weeks of each other. He offers great counsel. Thought I'd pass it along. My thoughts are with you and your family.

I have just stumbled onto your blog for the very first time through sugardoodle and I had to stop by and express how truly sorry I am for your loss. I can't even imagine this. While we are blessed to know the fulness of this Gospel and all that it means for our families, the emptiness is still there and overwhelming. I will have you in my thoughts and prayers and know that people all over the world are praying for you and your sweet family. What a blessed child you must have had the privilege of having in your home, if only for a short time.

I am so sorry for your loss. What a time of great sorrow and suffering. But I know the Savior lives and loves you, too. He is the only source that can bring true peace and comfort to your grieving heart. You are loved.

Sofia, it must be so hard, the answer to our question why this is not there. Please sit and feel the Lords arms wrapped around you, knowing you will have this little one in your arms again some day.
My prayers and best wishes are with you!

One more thing. The loss of your son is tragic. He wasn't "chosen" to die because of his perfections or your imperfections. It simply happened and I am so sorry.

I am truly so very sorry to hear this. My youngest is 3 months old. I can't imagine living with out him. Heavenly Father knows that you are a very special mother and how strong you are. He also knows that you are loved by so many people on this earth who are praying for you. Our faith and prayers for you will sustain you and comfort you. I hope that you are able to feel that love from others and that the atonement of Jesus Christ will also bear you up when you are needing strength.
I know that your son is near and watching over you. You helped him fulfill his mission in life. What a valiant son you brought into the world. You are loved!

I am so sorry. May the Lord comfort you and keep you and yours in the circle of His love.

My sister in law lost her son at the age of 2 months. Years later in a moment of deep despair he reached out to her and enfolded her in his love late one night as she cried. These sweet children stay with us even though we no longer physically have them with us. They remain close by, uplifting and supporting us.

Thank you for all you do--you have blessed my life as I've worked to teach over 100 children each Sunday. You've blessed their lives as well. You are greatly loved.

Our Stake Conference was this past weekend & there ended up being several talks on this very subject. I was overwhelmed with a story that our Stake President shared from his childhood. At 10 years old, his older sister drowned in a lake during a family pic nic in Brigham City. His father also drowned, trying to save her. He said that after it happened, he went away on his own- to cry. Then he felt an overwhelming comforting feeling from not only his Heavenly Father, but also his earthly father, that they would be together again. This experience has led him to live his life in a way that he will be able to be with his sister and his father again. The strongest members are strong for very good reason... they have been through trials, and with the strength of our Savior, they have made it through those trials, and come out stronger & more humbled to be better servants, and strong members in Zion.

Dearest Sofia
Such a wonderful, strong, inspired lady I am so grateful for your valiant efforts in assissting leaders to teach thousands, possibly millions, of children around the world the gospel of Jesus Christ. Not only teach it, but make it fun and memorable for children of all ages.

So many of us have grown close to you through your website and feel like we know you.

When I heard the tragic news I cried so much, I will be praying for you - along with the hundreds of the people you have helped.

Read D & C 121:7-8 and especially verse 9
'Thy friends do stand by thee, and they shall hail thee again with warm hearts and friendly hands.'

All of us, even though we don't personally know you, are your friends, We love you and want to help you in any way we can.

My prayers are with you, God bless

I am so sorry for your loss. I have not experienced the loss of a child but in 2001, my husband and I buried 3 family members in less than 5 months. All of them taken suddenly and tragically and long before their time on earth was finished. During that time of great sorrow someone gave me a scripture that truly game me the deepest comfort. I would like to share it with you. It is Mosiah 24:14. "I will ease the burdens which are put on your shoulders that even you cannot feel them upon your backs. And this will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions." My thoughts and prayers are with you. May the Lord's choicest blessings be with you at this time.

May the Lord Bless you and your family. I know that there is nothing that anyone in the entire world can say or do to ease the pain that you are feeling but kknow that my heart aches for you and my prayers are with you. Please hang in there and allow yourself to grieve as you need to but know too that the Lord intends for you to carry on as well. The Lord needs brave Saints to do his work in heaven as h does on earth and you must have been blessed with a truely special soul that the Lord needed with him in heaven. I know that there are those that are so pure and so amazing that must be born to this earth that the Lord cannot risk. Some ssouls are just too special and too needed in the many works in Heaven. What must the Lord know of you and your rigtiousness and strength to entrust you with one such soul? Take comfort in the love of those around you and allow room for the pain. It is okay to hurt even when you know that your child is in Gods arms.

Dear Sofia this is a hard trial in your life I know as my 3 month old daughter die. I know that at this time you will find that the Lord will uphold and comfort you and that you will find strength that you never knew that you had. I have a poem that was giving to me at my time of sorrow that has been a treasure through the years that I want to share with you. GOD KNOWS BEST: Our Father knows what's best for us, So why should we complain--We always want the sunshine But He knows there must be rain--We love the sound of laughter And the merriment of cheer, But our hearts would lose their tenderness If we never shed a tear. Our Father tests us often With suffering and with sorrow He tests us, not to punish us, But to help us meet tomorrow . . . . For growing trees are strengthened When they withstand the storm, And the sharp cut of the chisel Gives the marble grace and form . . God never hurts us needlessly And He never wastes our pain, For every loss He sends to us Is followed by rich gain . .(which I can testify of) And when we count the blessings That God has so freely sent We will find no cause for murmuring And no time to lament . . For our Father loves His children, And to Him all things are plain, So He never sends us pleasure When the soul's deep need is pain . . So whenever we are troubled, And when everything goes wrong, It is just God working in us To make our spirit strong.
Take refuge in the Gospel. At first you will cope second by second but you will find as the atonement works in your life that you will make it day by day then year by year. God bless you

You are loved by so many but most importantly by your Heavenly Father. So much so, that he sent His Son to atone and die for you and your family. He experienced the atonement so He would know how to succor you and take care of you during what seems to be an unbearable experience. Even if you do not recognize His love during this chaos, you will be able to look back, in time, and see His hand in your life during this time. He will be there everyday you live, as you think about your son, what has been, and what is yet to be in that sweet parent-child relationship.

Your Heavenly Father loves you. You are in my prayers that the Holy Ghost will strengthen your shoulders as you bear this burden. Also that the eternal perspective the gospel offers will make it easier for you to breathe each breath.

Sofia,

I too am so sorry to hear about your baby. As much as I know and love the gospel, the thought of losing my child still remains as the toughest life possibility to even consider - I feel a loss of breath to even think about it. I treasure your blog, your personality that comes through on it, your testimony, your dedication & service of time, and your uniquely wonderful ideas - that we all benefit from.

I pray you and your family are doing as well as possible, finding moments of peace & understanding as time goes by. Your little one will be waiting (and even watching I think) as your earthly life continues. Not everyone has that kind of clear incentive to seek Celestial life - and I don't mean to make light of your trial at all. I just know that another family that just lost their baby has found a lot of peace in the fact that they have their dear one waiting for them.

As the hymn says, 'The Lord bless you and keep you' ---

With love,

Breanne
